Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Seating Expert specialising in Metal Frames to join our Client’s team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the development of structure platforms, ensuring the highest quality, functionality, and adherence to company standards. This role involves strategic planning, design guidance, problem-solving, and fostering continuous improvement within the team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in formulating the company’s structure platform development strategy in collaboration with management.
- Provide design direction guidance and review of main nodes for structure design, enhancing quality, and ensuring alignment with functional/cost requirements.
- Guide engineers in interpreting customer standards and relevant regulations to ensure compliance with TDM requirements in structure design.
- Instruct engineers in analysing and formulating solutions for issues encountered in structure production and testing.
- Develop structure design specifications and internal standards related to structure.
- Summarise experience in structure design and development, share insights, and contribute to team training for continuous improvement.
Education/Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in mechanical/automotive-related majors.
- Over 10 years of experience in structure research and development, including involvement in at least 2 new structure projects (with at least 1 global project) and comprehensive experience in front platform structure development.
Necessary Skills and Competencies:
- Proficiency in reading and understanding English standards, with the ability to communicate in English with foreign experts or customers for professional and technical exchanges.
- Strong problem-solving experience, capable of quickly addressing on-site problems, distinguishing their nature, and providing short-term and permanent countermeasures.
- Rich knowledge of metal materials, including familiarity with the physical properties, chemical composition, and heat treatment processes.
- Familiarity with tools such as DFMEA, DVP&R, PFMEA, control plan, 8D report, A3 report, and GD&T. Ability to guide the team in mastering these tools and perform dimensional chain tolerance analysis.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Catia, and other relevant tools. Strong knowledge of CAD data and 2D drawings, with the ability to review and guide effectively.
- Strong communication skills, facilitating smooth and efficient communication with superiors, subordinates, and leaders from other departments.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
